Purpose of the WASBE Foundation
Established in 1992, the WASBE Foundation serves as the charitable arm of the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles, with the primary objective of raising and managing funds to support the growth and development of the global wind music community.
The Foundation’s initiatives include:

Commission Works
Commissioning new works for wind ensembles and participating in consortium commissioning projects

National Sections
Supporting projects initiated by WASBE national sections

Membership
Providing financial assistance for members requiring support with membership fees

Professional Development
Subsidizing participation in masterclasses, workshops, and other professional development opportunities for members in need.

International Events
Funding selected WASBE initiatives and international events that align with the organization’s mission.
Accessing Support from the WASBE Foundation
WASBE members seeking financial assistance for eligible projects or activities may apply for support from the WASBE Foundation. Applications must be submitted in writing and include appropriate supporting documentation. Requests may be submitted at any time by individual members or by the WASBE Board.
All applications are reviewed by the WASBE Foundation’s board members. If an application receives a favorable assessment, it will be forwarded to the WASBE Board for final approval. The decision to award a grant is made collectively by the full Board.
Applications should be addressed to the Chair of the WASBE Foundation and submitted through the official online form.
All correspondence regarding the application will be conducted exclusively through the Foundation Chair. Please note that all applications and related communications are handled with strict confidentiality.
