Earthen Echoes Unveiled, by German composer and conductor Matthias Wehr i s our Composition of the Week.

Earthen Echoes Unveiled was commissioned by the Landesblasorchester Baden-Württemberg and its conductor Björn Bus on the occasion of the 20th international WASBE Conference 2024 in Gwangju-Gyeonggi, Korea, receiving its premiere performance on July 19, 2024.

“Nothing is as constant as change. All things are in eternal change, in the process of becoming, their permanence is nothing other than appearance. Heraclitus – Philosopher As we approach the year 2024, countries around the world continue to face decades of conflict and economic turmoil and the devastating effects of climate change. Yes, the world is changing! This raises the question: What does a new world currently look like for us? The ideas of a perfect world are as diverse as we humans are. Our inner eye creates the world. It's the same with music. Experience a brilliant, energetic overture full of different timbres and let us simply listen to the echoes of our world, of a new world through the ages.”
